Senior Fitness Programs
Central/Clemson Indoor Recreation Center

Clemson Jazzercise Center Owner, Verna Howell is offering Jazzercise Lite, a low-impact version of Jazzercise, the world’s leading dance-fitness program. It’s an ideal exercise option for seniors or anyone looking for a moderate yet fun and effective workout. Jazzercise Lite is a 60-minute class that pairs moderate aerobics with exercises that are designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility. “The easy-to-follow routines make Jazzercise Lite inviting to newcomers, and the aerobic portion of the workout can get the heart rate up without stressing the knees, legs and lower back,” said Marty Rodgers, instructor at the Clemson Center. “The Jazzercise philosophy has always been that exercise is for everyone – and by using effective exercise, jazz dance and popular music – we continually strive to make it fun for participants, too.” Jazzercise, created by Judi Sheppard Missett, is the world’s largest dance fitness program with more than 5,800 instructors teaching 20,000 classes weekly in the U.S. around the globe. Howell has been a Jazzercise instructor in the Clemson area for 20 years. For local Jazzercise class information or to find out more about Jazzercise, call The Clemson Jazzercise Center at 653-FITT. For worldwide class information, go to jazzercise.com , or call 1(800) FIT-IS-IT.
