Downtown Streetscape Phase 1-A Update

Phase 1A of the Downtown Streetscape project was almost completed during the summer months, with only the tree and landscape plantings remaining.  A bright new appearance, safer sidewalks, new street lighting, and redesigned waste containment areas have been completed on North Clemson Street, Sloan Street and Earle Street.  New business direction signage and an information kiosk (pictured above) will be of assistance to visitors to our community.  Final touches on this phase of work will be completed in October, when planting conditions are more favorable for the trees and shrubbery. Phase 1B of the project will be constructed next summer, which will complete the improvement of Downtown Clemson streets that are adjacent to College Avenue.
